Smoothies are the ultimate way to start the day with. It´s so filling, and ensures enough energy for the rest of the day. I especially love the simplicity of the combination of all the best fruits I know. Banana and mango - a super source of antioxidants and the best fruits to eat to get perfect flawless skin. As well as the good old fruit, I´m as well very into adding superfoods in literally everything I eat and drink. And I love it! In this one I added wheatgrass powder and acai berry powder. These superfoods are full packed with chlorophyll which helps detoxing, cleansing and healing, are extremely rich in protein, has all the vitamins and minerals you could possibly list up and contains a lot of antioxidants. In other words this is a super, super healthy smoothie!
Superfood Smoothie
1 1/2 cup oat milk
1/2 cup mango
1 banana
2 tsps wheat grass powder
2 tsps acai berry powder
the juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 cup blackberries
Throw one cup oat milk, mango, banana, wheat grass powder and lemon juice in the blender and blend until smooth. Pour half of the smoothie into a glass and pour the rest of it into a temporary bowl/glass. Pour the rest of the oat milk into the blender, add the blackberries and acai berry powder, and blend for 20 seconds. Pour this over the green wheat grass smoothie, and finish up with a last layer of the stored green wheat grass smoothie on top!
